Current aircraft positions are normalized from the configured ADS-B provider and delivered to the map over a persistent stream.

Registered owners and associated entities come from the curated roster, not from guesses made by a live data provider.

How we use data

ADS-B telemetry

Latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, heading, and on-ground status are received from aviation data providers.

Curated registry

Tail numbers, HEX identifiers, aircraft models, and owner associations are maintained as durable records.

Estimated emissions

CO2 calculations use aircraft reference fuel-burn data and clearly label estimates instead of presenting them as measured fuel use.
